Romans 12:17 says “Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.” 21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

We cannot overcome evil by observing it in others, that only creates more evil. We can overcome evil by seeing it in ourselves and taking the appropriate action.
