We have been graced for a truly sweet surrender, if we can radically accept being radically accepted - for nothing.

This being said there are some underlining yet denied resentments in many people: (1) toward God for demanding sacrifice, (2) toward others for not appreciating it, (3) toward ourselves for sacrificing as much as we do, and (4) toward others for not having to do it at all. There is much evidence of this passive-aggressive stance in some believers - but not in all, thank God.
