The Gift of Desperation

It's pretty easy for me to come up with gratitudes this holiday season. The first thing that always comes to mind is the unity of this fellowship that we have. Unity with our brothers in Christ. Intimacy with God through the spirit. The bonds that we can only make with our brothers at the wine press. Today I am so thankful that I have been broken and crushed enough to have to pursue God. Had I not been broken I would be so unfulfilled and not even realize it. What a gift it is to be just broken enough to have to surrender to the light. I think if God never gave us more than we could handle we wouldn't have to seek him. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to seek God and the opportunity to work with those who are desperate enough to surrender.
