Blessed to be Broken

Only God can turn the curse of addiction into such a beautiful Life experience. I am so truly grateful that the insanity of alcoholism has driven me to desperately seek this personal intimacy with my Creator. If not for my afflictions, I probably would not have come to pursue an honest, willing, open-minded relationship with a God of my limited understanding. Today l depend on an infinite God rather than my finite self. I experience an internal sense of Joy that is unbreakable and only God, through my Savior, can provide me. In turn, I get the opportunity to share my experience, strength, and hope with others and help them recover from their afflictions.
