Step 3 Born Again/And Again

Step 3 is about dissection and a new beginning. To detach from the old and be reborn.

We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God, as we understood him.

The decision is the dissection or amputation from what was previously our center. Unfortunately our center was a false sense of self. We now decide to make our understanding of God our new center instead of our false identity.

We should be encouraged to invite our spiritual and religious leaders into this. We can use water to physically represent the real spiritual cleansing within. This is a vital and crucial step in our development. And we can exercise it as much as we wish. We should demonstrate it with others as well. A tremendous effect will be felt immediately.

HOWEVER…….. there will be little permanent effect unless this is at once followed by a strenuous effort to face and be rid of the things in our selves which have been blocking us, blocking us from the sunlight of the spirit of God's Unconditional Love that is freely available for all to receive. This leads us into the inventories of step 4.
