Shortcomings or Ego

God does not always remove the character defects we want him to when we want him to. He has a way of using the shortcomings in one to bring out strengths in the other. What seem to be imperfections of our makeup can actually be used to draw spiritual perfection from another. This concept is difficult for the self because self wants a certain outcome based on performance goals. Lack of performance for the ambitious player can be ego-deflating. This begs the question of how ego-driven my service really is.
