Mercy over Sacrifice

When I wake up in the morning the first thing I do as soon as I can register a thought is to ask God to direct my thinking. It occurred to me one morning that though I had a lot of moral and philosophical convictions that those paled in comparison to the merciful, unconditional love that binds us in unity. This love was much bigger than my preconceived notions about what is right, wrong, good and bad in this world. I realize at this point that most of my opinions are subjective. Sometimes these things can actually block us from the unconditional loving light of the spirit which is Christ.
