Responsibility

Responsibility is the spiritual principle beyond step 9: Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

With the help of our sponsor, we will begin to clean up the wreckage of the past to the best of our ability. It is critical that we be willing and have no expectations about outcomes. We can confess our sins to the people we have harmed honestly. Under no circumstances do we criticize them. We simply acknowledge our wrongs and ask what we can do to help.

If we owe money we pay it back. Even if it's a little at a time. We make a living amends by changing the way we live our lives and helping others. Some wrongs we can never fully right. We don't worry about them if we can honestly say we would right them if we could. Remember we are positioning ourselves to be of maximum service in God's Kingdom.
