Supernatural Aid

Drug addicts/alcoholics have developed an incurable allergy (anniversary reaction) to mind and emotion altering substances. They can never again use these types of drugs or alcohol safely. They have lost their self-confidence and reliance upon all things human. Their problems pile up on them and seem impossible to solve. Frothy emotional appeal seldom suffices. The message which can interest and hold addicts/alcoholics must have depth and weight. In nearly all cases, their ideals must be grounded on a power greater than themselves, if they are going to re-create their lives. This power must come from God because we have placed ourselves beyond human aid. I am grateful to be afflicted in such a way that I must desperately seek a real intimate relationship with my Creator so that I can recover from a hopeless state of body, mind, and spirits.
