Getting Free From Our Own Prison

Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are going with him to court, lest you're accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison. Truly, I say to you, you will never get out until you have paid the last penny. Mat.5:25

When we know we have wronged someone our conscience pays the price. We may be vaguely aware of the deficit, but it is there. When we become willing to right our wrongs we are making progress towards freeing ourselves from our own convictions. Sometimes we deny these feelings by being angry at the people we have harmed. We must learn to look at these situations objectionably. We get down to causes and conditions to see what was threatened or interfered with internally and do our utmost to right the wrongs of our past.
